Shaykh Ibrāhīm Niasse (d. 1975) read the whole Qurʾān aloud at Medina Baye over fifty-six sessions between ẓuhr and ʿaṣr in Ramaḍān 1383/1964, and his students wrote those sessions down as Fī Riyāḍ al-Tafsīr. The āya above is Warsh ʿan Nāfiʿ, the rasm of the printed edition. The root behind each underlined word comes from a Ḥafṣ ʿan ʿĀṣim corpus, realigned to this Warsh text word by word; 125 of the 6,236 āyāt differ in word count between the two riwāyāt, and those were aligned rather than assumed. الأنعام أيدي القدرة الإلهية فملكتموها وضبطتموها، كلكم يضبط ما عنده من الإبل والبقر والغنم، ولو بلغ ما بلغ من الكثرة الإنسان يعرف كم عنده، ضابطون (وَذَلْلْنَهَا لَهُمْ قَيِنُهَا رَكُوْتَهُمْ الله هو الذي سخر هذه الأشياء حتى يمكنكم ركوبُها، سخر الجمل لو لم يستر الجمل ما ركبتم الإبل أبدا، انظروا إلى الزرافة وإلى الفيلة في الفلاة هل يمكنكم أن تركبروها وسخر لكم البقر، انظروا إلى بقر الوحوش لم تقدروا لها على شيء وسخر الغنم، الظباء في الفلاة لم تقدروا لها على شيء إنما سخرها الله، لكم لا تظنون أن هذا من قدرتكم (وَمِنْهَا يَاكُلُونٌ) سخرها اللّه إن شعنا ركبنا وإن شفنا ذبحنا وأكلنا اللحم (وَلَهُمْ جِيهَا مَنَمِعْ)
