فَلَا مَعَ مِنَ

Shaykh Ibrāhīm Niasse (d. 1975) read the whole Qurʾān aloud at Medina Baye over fifty-six sessions between ẓuhr and ʿaṣr in Ramaḍān 1383/1964, and his students wrote those sessions down as Fī Riyāḍ al-Tafsīr. The āya above is Warsh ʿan Nāfiʿ, the rasm of the printed edition. The root behind each underlined word comes from a Ḥafṣ ʿan ʿĀṣim corpus, realigned to this Warsh text word by word; 125 of the 6,236 āyāt differ in word count between the two riwāyāt, and those were aligned rather than assumed. A word carries no underline where the corpus supplies no root. Lexicon entries are a reading aid and carry no page reference; the edition does not cite them. (وَمَا يَنْبَغِ) يصح (لَهُمْ) أن ينزلوا به (وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ حتى الشياطين لو أرادوا إنزال كتاب ما قدروا على أن يأتوا بمثل هذا القرآن (إِنَّهُمْ عَيِ السَّمْعِ) لِكلام الملائكة ( لَمَعْزُولُونَ) بالشهب (فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ اَ۬للَّهِ إِلَٰهاً اٰخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ اَ۬لْمُعَذَّبِينَۖ) إن فعلت ذلك (وَأَنذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الأَقْرَبِينَ) نزل على النبي صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم، وقد أنذرهم جهارا وهم بنو هاشم وبنو المطلب، استشار سيدنا عليا بن أبي طالب كرم اللّٰه وجهه قال له تصنع لهم طعاما وشرابا وتدعوهم 1، فدعاهم وصنع لهم طعاما فاجتمعوا في بيت النبي فأكلوا

بخير الدنيا والآخرة، وقد أمرني اللّٰه أن أدعوكم إليه، فأيكم يؤازرني على هذا الأمر، على أن يكون أخي» وكذا وكذا؟ قال: فأحجم القوم عنها جميعا، وقلت وإني لأحدثهم سنا، وأرمصهم عينا، وأعظمهم بطنا، وأخمشهم ساقا: أنا يا نبي اللّٰه أكون وزيرك، فأخذ برقبتي، ثم قال: «إن هذا أخي» وكذا وكذا، «فاسمعوا له وأطيعوا»، قال: فقام القوم يضحكون، ويقولون لأبي طالب: قد أمرك أن تسمع لابنك وتطيع. تفسير الطبري: من عند قوله تعالى "فلا تدع مع اللّٰه إلها آخر".
